A mentally ill young man (Teller Leitz) grows weary with his monotonous life. At 25, he still lives with his parents in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and he works at a lighthouse museum once occupied by Herman B. Gibbs. Teller cannot control his illness, and refers to it as the match man who lives in his head. In a desperate attempt to protect his family from his outbursts, he impulsively buys a plane ticket to Reykjavik, Iceland, the northern most city, to see the northern lights -only once he's arrived does he realize he's completely out of money. The people he meets help him manage his illness and show him that life can still be good despite his difficulties.
