Every freedom starts from the mind, once your conscience informs you. It tells you, This is not you. This is not how you were supposed to live. That is the beginning of freedom.
Freedom involves the entire being of a person, be it spiritual or physical.
Political leaders fought to liberate citizens from colonization physically - But this was not, and is still not enough, until the mind-set of this fact is fixed in the mind of the people; then, freedom can be said to have been established, and taken place.
Stories and histories are taught in schools to the young ones, and they grow with this knowledge in mind.
