Tonight I heard the Night Cat,

the Night Cat in my world,

bringing in the night time

and watching over me.

Separation from a parent can be incredibly difficult for any child. Whether due to deployment, divorce or death, any symbol of love and remembrance can soothe the soul. Before she goes to sleep each night, a little girl listens for her Night Cat, a very special reminder that her mother is always near... even when she isn't around. Though her father and her brothers tell her it's all in her imagination, she knows better. Her mother has sent the Night Cat to make sure everything is alright.
