Tom Zé (1936) has a particular Tropicália in him. His reading of that ephemeral and eternal moment in Brazilian music is unique. In the same way, his formal fidelity to the movement is unique - Tom Zé is often referred to as the last Tropicalist.
We Tropicalists wanted to be part of the world. And not be something apart from the world, like a folklore of the world. So, thanks to that, the Brazilian song was very much modified in its structure, both in its chordological structure and in its formal structure, .
