To Emma's Gravestone & other poems is a book of poems by Jason S. Price that explores topics of the human experience and meditate on subjects that offer insights into our humanity. Each poem evokes a memory that creates a specific mood, tone, and feeling. The poems are meant to be enjoyed through experiencing their emotional and intellectual range; as the book forward explains: Each poem is a prayer; an act conceived in love and its manifestation bears witness to its love. The struggle that is the joy and sorrow of each thought that eventually blossoms into a word is priceless; the feeling that is frozen into an eternal motif, which cries out to be heard is the first breath of each poem and is the reason that compels the poet. The birthing process is chaotic and tremendously dynamic; it demands much attention to details, to sounds, to vibrations, and style.
