She enjoys crafting, volunteering, and painting. Her portraits of prominent citizens reside in the permanent collection of the local museum. Other works include two books of poetry, Memoirs in Rhyme and My Second Book of Rhymes, and the hardbacks People, Pets, and Places (Vantage Press, 2003) and World War I-A Soldier's Letters Home (Xlibris Corp., 2009), featuring excerpts of her father's letters to her mother during his service.
