The far-reaching Roman Empire of the first century was the backdrop of history's most pivotal drama in the story of civilization. And the Jewish capitol, Jerusalem, was the stage on which both noble and ignoble actors played out their destined roles.
But the Script, ah . . . the script, recorded in Matthew's Gospel has, since then, been variously interpreted: Did the playwright intend to portray The End of the World as We Know it? Just the End of an Age? Or the End of the Jewish Nation? Are the Signs of the Times upon us?
Raymond Grant unravels this heart-rending, mind-boggling, soul-searching drama with the exposition of a denouement of biblical proportions! He writes from the vantage point of a Christian apologist, and from the vista of an expositor of Scripture and research academian. He has previously contributed research for a study Bible, pastoral sermons, and church leadership books, but delights most in presenting the Gospel of the Kingdom to curious minds and traumatized souls.
