Here you meet special people. Like Charlie Jordan, inventor of a time machine that helps David Beckham find a lost ring, the top scientist who remembers the day a call came from outer space - but no-one took the message, and Big Mac, who has his once in a lifetime day. They're all here. Then there's the baffling tale of the famous TV writer - murdered when he is alone in his study. Then there are ordinary folks, like Ruth, who thinks, just for a moment, she may have found late-flowering romance in Benidorm, or the Johnsons - a couple among the first to be affected by the Government's new scheme for the over seventies. Then the man down in the park who sees Laurel and Hardy when (almost) everyone else sees Martin and Jack. And the chap who has a very special dog that saves him money. Each of these stories has been published before in the UK's small press magazines or online. They are all together in one volume for the first time in a reprinted version with two extra tales included.
