Through Painted Words is a collection of poems created throughout the seasons of my life. The first collection is spiritual poems created during a dark time in my life when I was struggling with the impending death of a parent. During this time I discovered that God is with us even in our dark times, that he is the light that shines in the darkness, and that no matter how difficult things may appear, he does not leave. Although all of us experiences dark times in life, it does not mean that we are forgotten, but rather let's learn from the dark times and seek out the light. As we walk along this journey of life, let us remember it is a gift to be alive, and let us each seek to use that gift wisely. We all stumble and we all fall at times in our lives, but let us not judge ourselves based on where we have been, but rather let us embrace each day as a gift and see the beauty in the simplicity of this gift. Most of my poetry was written from emotion I have experienced in my lifetime as we all are born with emotion. Let us embrace the emotion within our hearts to grow better and to know that we are not alone in this world. For there is a garden of flowers blooming each day in the hearts of each of us and our neighbors. My poetry is simply meant to speak to your heart to seek out what is good.
