Through My Trifocals Backward is a journey in time through a 93 year old set of eyes and sensibilities. Told in an often whimsical voice, starting with her actual birth experience, the author expounds on her storybook childhood, a rebellious ado-lescence, the realities of war, a fated marriage and motherhood. Through narrative and prose the author eloquently conveys her awareness of the human condition, speaking to all parts of the whole, from frivolity and wit, to contemplative soberness. She recounts a myriad of stories - some will turn a grin with their lightheartedness, while others will undoubtedly evoke tears - but all paint a vivid picture of life lived to its fullest. While reading this deeply engaging memoir, you will come to know the woman full of humor who chooses to laugh rather than brood over the irreversible condition known as aging. Her motto is that life offers a multitude of choices, its paths veering in all directions. The route taken is up to you.
