These compilations of Songs, Short Stories, Poems and Screen Plays were written by grade eleven and twelve students attending the 2009/2010 year at Samuel Robertson Technical Secondary School in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. This course is designed to guide students though writing different genres including: Short Story, Poetry, Lyric (song writing) and Screen Play and this book is a reflection of their experiences. The students were encouraged to challenge themselves through their writing and explore genres outside their typical comfort zone. Trying their best to meet deadlines, but sometimes falling behind, they always rose to the occasion and explored their creative minds to put beautiful works onto the page. These individual works show the heart of these students, and give the readers a window into the views of these well-above-average teenagers!
