This Old Dime
By: Dale Wagner
Dale Wagner was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia. He developed an interest in collecting coins in the early 1970s when he was around eleven years old. A retired ship worker, Wagner remembered how an old coin can tell its own story. He began to think of the importance of letting a younger generation realize the long-ago value of an old dime.
This Old Dime provides just a glimpse of information into the history of the old dime on the sidewalk. Where has it been, and why is it so worn?
