In this poetry book topics such as mental health, love, loss, sexual assault, self-harm, suicide, and similar topics are brought up in an attempt to bring people together. Far too often people cover up their scars and thoughts in fear of judgment and ridicule. However, I like to believe that the world would be a better place if only everyone took the time to vocalize the things they would never say. My hope is that after reading this collection of brief poems you will look at the people around you with more empathy than before. For those who have struggled to find themselves and conquer intense or unwanted emotions, I want you to feel heard, validated, and seen. May this book become a safe place for you to live authentically as yourself, and may you know that if a book could hug you that this one's arms are wide open waiting for you.
