These Dust & Ashes

Can chaos raise a champion?

These Dust and Ashes is a sharp-witted, fictional narrative that follows young teacher Mrs. Sage Blest into a spiral of self-reflection when unexpectedly nominated for Teacher of the Year. Is she truly good enough to be the best? Her internal debate leads her down the rabbit hole of the age-old Nature vs. Nurture argument, and straight into the heart of her hilariously chaotic childhood.

With a firecracker of a mother, a cheeky father, a sister with a worrying obsession with flames, and a brother infamous for his role in the now-legendary Water Window Scandal, Sage's journey to self-discovery is anything but conventional.

Told in a playful, satirical voice laced with Bajan Vernacular that intricately weaves the nursery rhymes used to engage her little charges, this humorous romp delivers outrageous family tales that will have you 'deadin wid laugh'.

These Dust and Ashes is a hilariously heartfelt journey through the madness of family and the wonderfully messy path to discovering who we really are.
