Poetry is a funny thing. It's personal and vulnerable, yet somehow universal. It's pieces of me that are also pieces of you. It's storytelling with the details stripped away; what's left behind is raw emotion, snapshots in time that belong to a larger narrative of what it means to be human.

Following the publication of Messy Bun Mantras comes a free-verse poetry collection divided into four sections: the desert, the sea, the forest, and the mountain. Each section reflects on its own season of life, faith, anxiety, and motherhood. The theme of this collection comes from Ezekiel 37:1-14, the vision of dry bones coming back to life. The journey from the desert to the mountain symbolizes the journey from death to new life.

Regardless of the season, there is always beauty, joy, and love to be found - and that's why these bones will sing.
