Buddy Adams, a minor Hollywood talent agent, returns to his Indiana boyhood home to bury his widowed mother. As a crippling blizzard swirls around him, he becomes embroiled in a struggle to subvert his California agency into a drug conduit for La Eme, the Mexican mafia. While trying to get his mother in the ground, Buddy discovers a disturbing family secret that his parents had hidden from him-a past that challenges his deepest feelings. Trapped in a frozen alien landscape, Buddy is plunged into a struggle that takes him from Indiana to California where the future of his talent agency, and his own life, is put on the line. The drug cartel devours all who stand in its way as it seeks deeper inroads into our society. Can one insignificant talent agent make a stand? Or will Buddy Adams become just another grease spot on La Eme's four-lane drug super highway?
