In February 2013 I moved to Lee Boothby's home on Wolf Ridge outside Taos. The house was built to take advantage the 360-degree view: large glass windows and expansive patios with nothing to obstruct the panoramas. I hadn't planned to make a book - it emerged - I was seduced by the wonder of the passing show. The turquoise sky was the backdrop against which God performed His magic and enacted His drama. Yes. New Mexico is dramatic! My camera allowed me to see what I was looking at. It was my interpreter translating the awe-inspiring vistas that changed every moment. The cold blue snow and red-hot sunsets became friends posing for portraits. But subtle reruns jaded me with pet names like 'god rays', 'purple mountain majesty' or 'walking rain.' Yet I know better - I am a junkie for infinite beauty. So the days passed and I would run from pillar to post, window to window to pay attention to what was on display - window-shopping at the top of the world. And if God's musings showed 'promise' I would grab my camera, ready to see what God had wrought. What moment isn't worthy of capture? What instant will reveal the infinite light that enlightens? We shall never know. But these photos prove that the potential is always there - we only need to open our eyes and 'see.'
