After almost two years behind enemy lines with the Norwegian resistance, Marcus Andersen is back in his hometown of Port Hope, Ontario. But, this isn't the happy homecoming he had in mind. Port Hope holds a deadly secret, one that the Nazis are desperate to get their hands on.
After an introduction to the masters of counter-espionage, known as the Twenty Committee, Marcus is thrust into the middle of a plot involving enemies and supposed allies. His mission objective is to deceive all of them and alter the course of history.
After an introduction to the masters of counter-espionage, known as the Twenty Committee, Marcus is thrust into the middle of a plot involving enemies and supposed allies. His mission objective is to deceive all of them and alter the course of history.
While struggling to reconcile his return to 'normal life' in his hometown and the perils he faced behind enemy lines with his new mission, Marcus finds a co-conspirator and a lover in the mysterious and alluring Nadia Mironov. Together, they find solace in sharing their war stories. They plot how to ensure their own post war happiness while also keeping Marcus's handler, the man called 'Intrepid' happy. It's a tightrope, where one slip could have dire consequences.
