Who would believe that grandad's do-it-yourself time capsule, built in his garden shed, could really send the adventurous thirteen year old Sally and her dog Sweep to another planet? Once there, she meets people who live to over six hundred, buys a miniature pop-star clone who can walk and talk and accompanies her everywhere, plays vulture ball and makes many great friends. However, there are also deadly enemies, strange creatures who look almost human, and - worst of all, a vulture steals her only means of getting home - which is hidden inside her necklace. From that moment forward, the chase is on to recover it. Find out in this gripping story whether Sally and her dog ever come back to Earth, or will they be stuck on another planet forever? Primarily a children's story, Elliott Darnell's The Time Capsule will appeal to readers both young and old, with six hand drawn illustrations by the author providing further stimulus for the imagination as the story unfolds.
