The Three Musketeers V1 is a classic novel by French author Alexandre Dumas, first published in 1844. The story is set in 17th century France and follows the adventures of young d'Artagnan, who leaves his home in Gascony to become a musketeer in Paris. Along the way, he meets three musketeers - Athos, Porthos, and Aramis - and together they become embroiled in a dangerous plot to overthrow the king. The novel is full of action, romance, and political intrigue, and is considered one of the greatest adventure stories ever written. This edition, published in 1893, is the first volume of the complete novel and features beautiful illustrations by French artist Maurice Leloir. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
