Randala was a fixture in London's underground poetry scene and gained international recognition in 1988 when her poem Metropolis Apocalypse was adapted into a short film that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Her talent and vision led her to Los Angeles, where she wrote and directed the hallucinatory feature film Phoenix Point and penned the screenplay for David and Fatima, starring Martin Landau and Tony Curtis.
In Hollywood, Randala juggled screenwriting with the composition of erotic poetry, and her spoken word recording of her poem Goddess was featured in an episode of Sex and the City. Despite her success in film, Randala returned to her first love, poetry, and moved back to Lebanon in 2011 to focus on her writing.
Randala passed away in 2023 at the age of 61, leaving behind an unpublished legacy of stunning and ground-breaking work. The Terror Wrist is the first poetry collection to be published posthumously and serves as a testament to Randala's brilliance and unyielding dedication to her craft.
