School is back in session.

Sonyo Aiesling, Seth Calderón, and Jaden Ar'Kangelos are Storm Children: superhuman beings with breathtaking strength, speed, and a vast assortment of powers. They've survived the Trace Foundation and finally reached the Olympus Academy. For the boys, it's everything high school was and wasn't: new groups, new sports, and new bullies. The only difference is that everyone and their grandmother has superpowers. Despite all the social obstacles, Sonyo finally feels he belongs.

The good feelings don't last when the gang embarks on a high-stakes rescue mission after a fellow Storm Child is kidnapped. Even with their powers, this is the boys' first time being actual heroes. And if they fail, it'll spell the end for both their world and the one they left behind. These trials are bad enough on their own, but soon Sonyo finds himself in the crosshairs of Sereia Lockhart: the beautiful, yet infuriating girl who rescued him in New Arcadia.

As the gang learns more about the enigmatic World Storm, as well as the kidnappers, they also learn that the Trace Foundation may be the least of their worries.
