The Spirit of Service is a Christian book written by Julia Tolman Lee in 1922. The book is designed for class and discussion groups, and it aims to teach readers about Christian stewardship. Stewardship is the act of taking care of something that has been entrusted to us. In this case, the book focuses on how Christians can be good stewards of the resources that God has given them. The book is divided into seven chapters, each of which covers a different aspect of Christian stewardship. The first chapter discusses the importance of recognizing God as the owner of all things. The second chapter focuses on the duty of Christians to use their resources wisely. The third chapter covers the importance of giving back to God through tithing and offerings. The fourth chapter discusses the role of Christians in caring for the environment. The fifth chapter covers the importance of using our talents and abilities for the benefit of others. The sixth chapter discusses the importance of being generous and helping those in need. The final chapter covers the importance of living a life of service to others.Throughout the book, Lee uses examples from the Bible and real-life situations to illustrate her points. She also includes discussion questions at the end of each chapter to encourage readers to think more deeply about the topics covered. The Spirit of Service is a timeless book that is still relevant today, and it is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn more about Christian stewardship. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
