The Sowing Of Secrets is a multifaceted look at an ambiguous family, mysterious friends, and the advantageous silence of secrets bound by generations. The story is based around the main character, Alden Andrews, a first generation'' southerner, a successful surgeon, who has recently hit rock-bottom, which spins her into a concealed depression. Recognizing a need to make changes in her life, she decides to explore her roots in an attempt to find herself, after losing her way, exploring the unknowns of her family's past. However, as Alden begins to probe, she quickly realizes nothing is obvious as she begins to discover things about her roots and the family tree from which she stems. While on her journey, Alden begins to decipher past reflections while discovering her birthright and what that means for her future. However, as Alden begins to probe she quickly learns that with every secret a family collects, there are forbidden seeds planted around the roots of their tree. Though the seeds may not be spoken of, they grow; sprouting up around the tree as a reminder that every family has sin in secrets.
