Alexius found the inspiration for The Shell With No Roads in two places: at home with four real cats, and on the Camino de Santiago.
His cats, Sol, Panda, Rita, and Luna, each have very different personalities. They do not always agree, move at the same pace, or see the world the same way, yet they have learned to live together in harmony. While walking the Camino, Alexius encountered people whose personalities reminded him of his cats, and he began to see a deeper connection between the two experiences.
That experience became the inspiration for The Shell With No Roads, a fable about four very different souls who discover that sharing a journey does not require them to think alike, move at the same pace, or always agree on the way.
Through their journey, the story explores friendship, acceptance, courage, and personal growth, offering a simple but powerful reminder: we do not have to be the same to understand one another, help one another, and grow together.
Sometimes the people who walk differently from us are the ones who teach us the most about ourselves.
And sometimes, the greatest discovery is not where the road leads, but who we become along the way.
