I shiver at the sudden chill running through my veins. I glance down the hall to the main room where the shadows seem to be growing thicker and darker by the second, causing the daylight outside to appear as if it's fading. Swallowing the lump of fear in my throat, I take a deep breath.

I peer into the shadows, the sound of my footsteps reverberate down the stairway. There's a heavy sense of foreboding-dense and full like the humid air after a rainstorm. Everything in me repels from the door...screams for me to run. But at the same time a strong curiosity pulls me down...down into the dark hole below. Is it the burial chamber from my daydreams? And if so, what evil could possibly be inside? Ancient beliefs about the gods and fear of evil are all too common. I've never been the superstitious sort, but I wonder...could there be truth to any of it?
