The Profane Priest

Presenting the First publication in print from Pastor A. Bryan Allen, The Profane Priest

The greatest threat to ministry is not always what happens around us-it is often what develops within us.

A priest can wear the garments, perform the rituals, preach the sermons, and maintain the appearance of devotion while quietly allowing compromise, complacency, pride, bitterness, and spiritual pollution to take root beneath the surface.

In The Profane Priest, Pastor A. Bryan Allen issues a sobering yet hope-filled call to self-examination, holiness, and spiritual renewal. Drawing from Scripture and practical ministry experience, he explores the subtle ways profanity-not merely in speech, but in thought, conduct, priorities, and worship-can affect the life of the believer and hinder the effectiveness of ministry.

This book challenges leaders and lay believers alike to confront hidden areas of compromise, rediscover the fear of the Lord, and embrace the transformative work of God's sanctifying grace. God has not called His people merely to serve in His presence-He has called them to be transformed by it.

The question is not whether we are active in ministry. The question is whether we remain consecrated to the One we serve.
