My father Mohammad Shafi, son of Khwaja-Ud-Din, was born into an Orthodox Sunni Muslim family at Ludhiana, Punjab, India on August 14, 1906 When he was 15 years old, he started helping his father in various ways. His father wanted him to eventually take over his business as his only son from his youngest wife Aisha Bibi. Once after the Jumma (Friday) Muslim prayers, my father was distributing food and clothing to the poor and needy people, when he caught the eye of an extra ordinary person. (see page 61) That man was 7 feet tall, dark brown and was holding a large wooden staff, like Moses, in his right hand. My father said he saw loving attraction in his eyes inviting him to learn more about God's love. The rest of the story of my father's conversion from Islam to Christianity and his ministry, is found in this book. The Most Honorable Man in My Life.
