This historically accurate work of fiction depicts a politically volatile time as the Matters family, their neighbors, and schoolmates adjust to the COVID pandemic, an influx of immigrants from Afghanistan, and the effects of climate change.
About the Author
Roberta M Roy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska and is Everything But Dissertation (EBD) in the doctoral program at the University of Michigan. Roy is a New York State licensed speech language pathologist, who provides teletherapy with G and E Therapies in Binghamton, New York.
Roy's award-winning novels include Jolt: a rural noir, Jenkins Second Place in Inspirational Fiction; Two Close, rated third on the Red List; and Home Again 2020, a work of historical fiction awarded a Gold Medal in Current Events II; a Silver Medal in Multicultural Fiction; and a Gold Medal in the Jenkins International eLit Awards. Slivers: Poems by Roberta M Roy was awarded the Jenkins International eLit Bronze Medal in poetry.
