We have four great classic novels in China. The Journey to the West---the story about monkey king is one of these great classics. Many Chinese know this story, not only from reading the book but also from daily conversation. This story became a popular TV series after 1986 and now, more than 30 years later, is still watched every year through rebroadcast.
