When it becomes clear that his home, the Merry Theatre, is under threat, ten year old Jackson Merry knows he is going to have to find the courage to step into the spotlight to save it. With the theatre in disrepair, the actors deserting them, the shady characters across the road up to who knows what and his parents not listening to a word he says, Jackson is determined to find out what's going on. Having grown up being captivated by plays night after night, he knows in the magical world of the theatre, the only limit is your imagination. But when he finds a mysterious box backstage, even he can't imagine the secrets that it holds and how it's about to change his life forever. As his world starts to fall apart, will he be able to step into the spotlight to save his home?
