The Life of Benjamin Franklin is a biographical account of one of America's most celebrated founding fathers, written by the man himself. Originally published in 1809, this book chronicles Franklin's life from his humble beginnings as a printer's apprentice in Boston to his rise as a prominent statesman, scientist, and inventor in Philadelphia. The book is divided into four parts, each detailing a different phase of Franklin's life. Part one covers his early years, including his childhood in Boston, his apprenticeship in his brother's print shop, and his eventual move to Philadelphia. Part two focuses on Franklin's scientific and philosophical pursuits, including his experiments with electricity and his development of the art of virtue. Part three delves into Franklin's political career, including his service as a colonial representative in London and his role in drafting the Declaration of Independence. Finally, part four covers his later years, including his retirement from politics and his final years in Philadelphia.Throughout the book, Franklin's wit, wisdom, and humor shine through, making it an engaging and entertaining read. The Life of Benjamin Franklin is not only a fascinating account of one man's incredible life but also a valuable historical document that sheds light on the founding of the United States. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
