Nobody argues with Grayson Kellerman. He is the governor's son, the starting quarterback, the golden boy with the predetermined future. Everyone agrees with him. Everyone has always agreed with him.
Then she raised her hand.
Willa Kett is a philosophy major on a full scholarship with exactly zero patience for corporate speak dressed up as ethics. The first day of class, she took apart his answer in front of everyone. Not to embarrass him. Because she was right and she knew it and she said so.
He should have been annoyed. Instead, he went home and actually read Kant.
That was his first mistake.
He started taking positions he did not believe just to keep her talking. He switched sides mid-argument when she proved him wrong. He color-coded her arguments. He memorized everything she said, every philosopher she loved, every phrase she used when she was nervous. He is fully aware of how unhinged this is. He does not care.
Nobody had ever made him want to be worth arguing with before.
Willa knows exactly what men like him do with women like her. They make it feel real, and then they leave when real gets hard. She has watched her mother hold their family together alone for twenty years. She knows what it looks like when a man decides you are too much trouble. She is not going to hand someone that kind of power over her.
Except he keeps showing up. He keeps listening. He keeps changing his mind when she proves him wrong, and no one has ever done that. The way he looks at her when she talks is starting to be a problem she cannot logic her way out of.
When it falls apart, it falls apart publicly. His family. The media. Every reason she was right to be afraid. Every reason she knew this would happen.
So he walks off the field. Mid-game. On national television.
The Legacy Rebellion is the story of a man who had everything except a self, and the woman who made him want to find one.
She taught him what authenticity costs. He taught her what it looks like when someone actually stays.
The Legacy Rebellion is a closed-door college football romance about the difference between sacrifice and choice, between contract and marriage, between the path you were given and the one you fight to keep.
Featuring a he-falls-first quarterback with the slow-burn obsession of a man who knows exactly what he is doing, a fiercely smart heroine who never makes herself smaller for him, a grandmother who set up a trust fund just so love could win, the best friend who tackles him before he can hit anyone over her, and the kind of family rupture that ends with a man telling his father he is done being a Kellerman. For readers who love:- He falls first, and hard
- Slow burn closed door / fade to black
- Forbidden love, class divide, family disapproves
- Touch her and die
- I can wait. I am very patient.
- Public declarations, grand gestures
- Found family, devoted heroes, and morning-after pancakes that are objectively bad
