For the majority of her early life, Evelyn Kingsley was raised to be the perfect assassin by her parents In El Paso. Evelyn soon ran away from home to find a new life for herself. After traveling cross country for a few months, Evelyn settles down in the city of Memphis to fulfill her own destiny. That dream soon becomes a nightmare when her brother, Augustus tracks her down and kidnaps Evelyn from her new home, a few years later. In a failed attempt to convince Evelyn to return to her people, Augustus turned her world upside down. After that fateful night, Evelyn became numb and cold to the touch. The amount of unrelenting pain and rage that Evelyn has built up inside of her is inflicted upon innocent lives. Evelyn's quest for power won't be complete until she crushes all her enemies under her heel. In the early 1990's, Evelyn began to build her criminal empire in order to amass an army strong to enact her revenge. Any of the existing gangs in Memphis at the time, who dared not to pledge allegiance to Evelyn fell to her wrath. Evelyn leads her new soldiers, the Kingsmen, with an iron fist. Evelyn's rapid rise in strength caused tensions within the streets and in city officials. The sudden shift in power forced rival gangs out of their territories and countless lives lost in the wake of constant turf battles. The gang wars in Memphis got so bad that Evelyn forced opposing allies to band together in order to stop her. One of those people was Evelyn's very own husband, Mitchell. By joining forces with the mayor and governor at the time, Mitchell created a military task force called Cadmus. Although Cadmus proved to be an effective solution, the Kingsmen were already a fortified stronghold. The never-ending power struggle between multiple factions to gain control of the city causes tensions to rip through the city like a F-4 tornado. The first two leaders of Cadmus overestimated their chances against Evelyn and her forces. As the war continued to linger on, life never seemed so hopeless for the people. In the Summer of 2019, a new leader at Cadmus joined the war against Evelyn & her Kingsmen. One of Evelyn's grandsons, Demetrius Kingsley, joined Cadmus to put an end to his grandmother's tyranny. Demetrius used the same strategy his predecessors created to fight the Kingsmen. Demetrius and Travis soon clash over how things should be handled. Demetrius knows the best way to end this war is to match their brute strength with overwhelming force. In the midst of this prolonged battle, tensions flare up as all the cards are on the table. Time is not on Demetrius's side as Evelyn puts a target on everyone he loves. Being the sole protector and carrying the weight of everyone, it's up to Demetrius to absolve Evelyn of her war crimes before anyone else is at risk. The same family Evelyn coerces into her criminal organization are the same ones harboring deadly family secrets. As the death toll steadily rises, secrets from the Kingsleys' past are unearthed. The battle Demetrius faces in this story isn't just external but internal as well. With all the pressure from protecting the city, dealing with Evelyn and the drama with his family, Demetrius must keep his head on a swivel to end this war. The lines between allies and enemies begin to blur as Demetrius is not sure who to trust. Evelyn isn't sparing a single soul, no matter who they are. There is no room for error in Evelyn's quest for revenge.
