Roscoe is an old farmer trapped in a dark and dreadful world. He lives alone, hating everything on earth. Above all, he hates the birds that invade his cornfield. One fateful day, the farmer builds a scarecrow in his own image to deal with the bothersome birds. But this is not just any regular scarecrow-this one wears a fine suit of clothes and has been equipped with a heart. As such, the scarecrow turns out to be the opposite of what Roscoe had longed for. He is as nice as the farmer is mean. Now Roscoe is about to learn a lesson in humility. And with the power of a kind heart, he will go through a change never thought possible
