A story of quiet injustice-and children who refuse to stay silent.
Rodney's school has no nurse. No soap. No bandages.
But when a rare opportunity arises-a Health Box of supplies offered to just a few lucky schools-Rodney and his classmates decide their school won't be forgotten.
The Health Box is a poignant story about the everyday inequalities that shape children's lives. Set in a fictionalized but all-too-familiar world, the story speaks to the millions of students who go without basic care, and their quiet strength in the face of hardship.
This book is a powerful conversation starter for classrooms, libraries, and families alike. It affirms what every child deserves: safety, care, and the chance to learn without fear.
For readers ages 6-10. Ideal for educators, parents, and advocates committed to health equity and educational justice.
