Often when people think of being in love, they think of someone doing something to make them happy but someone making you happy is simply BEING LOVED. Love is wanting someone else to be happy even if that happiness doesn't come from you, love is putting your ego and feelings aside because you want what's best for them. No! Love isn't for you, if you think of love and you think of yourself and think of how it can benefit you. Love is not what you can get but what you are willing to give. Loving someone even when they are unlovable. Love is not to take up space. I am at a place in life where it physically drains me to put effort into individuals that have expirations dates, into people that I wouldn't talk to unless I reached out first. At some point we lose compassion and a sense of humanity when we think of love as our own personal gain. I like to think that my purpose in life is not just for myself but something much greater, something that tells me to love without limits and without expecting anything in return.
