The Gurkha Files celebrates the courage, skill and fighting spirit of one of military history's most respected forces. From the battlefields of two World Wars to some of the most dangerous campaigns ever fought, the legendary Gurkhas earned a reputation for fearlessness, loyalty and remarkable battlefield prowess. Their famous motto, It is better to die than be a coward, has inspired generations and made them among the most admired soldiers in modern military history.
This special Commando collection brings together four classic stories spanning five decades of comic-book excellence, originally published between 1968 and 2018. Readers will experience daring missions, acts of extraordinary heroism and hard-fought battles that showcase the determination and bravery for which the Gurkhas became renowned. Featuring stories from acclaimed Commando writers including Bernard Gregg, Alan Hemus, George Low and Major Eric Hebden, alongside artwork from celebrated artists such as Ian Kennedy, Phil Gascoine, Manuel Benet and Gordon C Livingstone, this volume captures the timeless appeal of Britain's longest-running war-comics brand.
Whether you're a lifelong Commando fan, a military history enthusiast or a collector of classic comics, The Gurkha Files delivers thrilling action, memorable characters and a fitting tribute to the Nepalese warriors whose courage helped shape Allied victory. A powerful collection of battlefield adventure from the Home of Heroes.
