The Finding of Lot's Wife is a novel written by Alfred Clark and published in 1896. The book tells the story of a young woman named Lot's Wife who lives in the ancient city of Sodom. Lot's Wife is known for her beauty and her love for her husband, Lot, who is a wealthy merchant in the city. However, their comfortable lives are disrupted when two strangers arrive in Sodom. These strangers are actually angels sent by God to warn Lot and his family of the impending destruction of the city. Lot is instructed to leave the city with his family and not to look back.Lot's Wife disobeys this command and turns back to look at the city as it is destroyed by fire and brimstone. As a result, she is turned into a pillar of salt. The novel explores themes of obedience, faith, and the consequences of disobedience. It also provides a fictionalized account of the biblical story of Lot and his wife. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
