The Fangless Bat written by Charmain Ingleton is a Halloween story for children. It tells the tale of a little bat called Ernie who has no fangs. Although he's a happy little bat, with Halloween approaching how can he scare anyone without having fangs? His brothers try to help by making him some costumes but people laugh at him. Then a witch tells him she can help him if he grows a pumpkin. Ernie's excited about getting some fangs and does what she asks. However, his fangs don't turn out quite as he expected. It's an exciting magical story for children to read at Halloween. It's also great for adults that like Halloween stories, picture books or short stories.
