Andy Harper has just finished university. He has no idea what he's going to do with his life. He's fed up of living in his home town again, so decides to get on a coach and travel to Spain to see what he can do.
Without much experience of adult life, he soon finds himself out of his depth and establishing himself in a foreign country is more daunting than he thought it would be. However, from picking up tips from people he meets, he ends up living somewhere and getting some part-time work. Andy just about gets by, but still feels lonely and needs more in his life.
One day, he makes a discovery that could transform everything. It is not something he's been involved in before and he knows it could be a dangerous game to take on. This sudden change in Andy's life means that he has to deal with a lot of questions and doubts about himself.
The Empty Flat is a story of psychological drama; not knowing if he should carry on and having to keep secrets from his new friends, even though he desperately needs their help.
