Two Israelis: a child survivor of the Holocaust and a young university student collaborated together to create this book, a documentary fiction. We made the effort to create a room in space and time for the memories of the past. The experience was a journey into the history, linking together two time periods seemingly a world apart. Bridging over the gap in time, we found just how similar the Holocaust generation is to our present. You can relate to the stories told of true events as seen through the eyes of a very young child. She is too young to understand what is happening around her, too young to have any memories from a time before the war. To this child, evil has become normality, it is the way of the world. In the crossing point between the past and present time, we try to reach an understanding of it all.
