The Diamond Tree is a dual-language story in English and Japanese. While reading is recognised as an effective way to learn a second language, and improve vocabulary and grammar, reading fiction often proves difficult. Literature can be too difficult in its original form, and graded readers are sometimes too simplified. This dual-language book allows readers to challenge themselves with the original text of the story, and check the interpretation when they run into difficulties.
Suitable for young adults and adults, the book includes discussion topics, as well as vocabulary and translation practice for students of Japanese or English.
