When a desperate atheist makes a bargain with God, everything changes.
In 1993, Guy Sohie went from perfectly healthy to completely paralyzed in just 48 hours. Lying in an ICU bed, unable to move anything but his eyelids, he made his first prayer to a God he wasn't sure existed: If you help me get through this, I'll tell others what you did so they can ask for help too.
What happened next defied every medical prediction.
But God's plan was bigger than physical healing. Twenty-seven years later, facing throat cancer, Guy discovered what mature faith looks like in the face of life-threatening illness. No longer the desperate atheist making bargains, he had learned to have conversations with Jesus, apply biblical principles in real-time, and find peace in the tunnel of doom.
If you're facing a health crisis right now, this book is for you.
Whether you're dealing with a frightening diagnosis, overwhelming treatment, or simply feeling alone in your battle, Guy's story shows that you don't need a religious background to reach out to God. You just need to be honest about where you are and willing to let Him into your situation.
From paralysis to purpose, from desperate bargaining to confident trust, The Desperate Bargain reveals how health crises can become doorways to the most meaningful relationship of your life.
Your turn to pray starts now.
