Do you remember being told fairy tales as a child? What would you do if you found out they weren't just tales, they were about a real world? This is what Lindsay discovers, long after she has left the age of fairy tales behind. Her father told her exciting, romantic tales of a land called Dalkana. What he didn't tell her, before he died when she was still only a child, was that the world was real, and that it was created by her own family. Lindsay stumbles into this land and finds herself the Fifth Creator, a god to the peoples who live there. While struggling to understand everything around her, she must also undertake a quest to find the Creationist's Chalice, to confirm her destiny - and battle all kinds of terrible forces on the way there. Will Dalgarno, a skilled archer but a surly guide, prove to be her guardian angel or her downfall? Can Lindsay overcome the terrible Destroyers that seek to crush Dalkana? And will she achieve perhaps her greatest wish in this land where the impossible becomes possible - to speak to her father once again? Nikki McLean is a Scottish-born writer, living and working outside of Edinburgh. The Creationist's Chalice is her first novel.
