The Codling Moth And Late Spraying In Oregon is a book written by Arthur Burton Cordley in 1902. The book provides a comprehensive study of the codling moth, a pest that damages apple crops, and the effectiveness of late spraying as a method of control. Cordley, who was an entomologist, conducted extensive research on the codling moth and its life cycle, as well as the impact of late spraying on the pest population. The book presents detailed information on the biology and behavior of the codling moth, including its habitat, feeding habits, and reproduction. The author also discusses the different methods of controlling the codling moth, including cultural practices, biological control, and chemical control. He provides a thorough analysis of the benefits and drawbacks of each method and offers recommendations on the most effective approach to pest management. The book is particularly relevant to apple growers in Oregon, as the state was experiencing a significant outbreak of codling moth infestations at the time of publication. However, the information presented in the book is also useful to apple growers in other regions who are dealing with similar pest problems. Overall, The Codling Moth And Late Spraying In Oregon is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the control of the codling moth and the management of apple crops. The book is written in a clear and concise style, making it accessible to both professionals and laypeople alike. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
