Four couples. One sultry summer. Too many secrets. In this sizzling, suspenseful debut, the lives of four women in their late thirties converge one summer on the wealthy Massachusetts island of Nantucket. Meet Allison, Kate, Carla and Brooke.
One of them is harboring a devastating secret. One person in their group won't make it to summer's end alive. And one among them might very well be a killer.
Carla and Lawrence Rossi think they've landed in paradise when they move into their summer home in Cisco Beach and immediately bond with the fun, beautiful couple next door. Little do the newcomers know their neighbors, Allison and Marc, are part of an exclusive, invitation-only underground social set-and they're already looking to recruit the Rossis.
Socialite Kate, Allison's best-friend-turned-frenemy, is a full-time resident of Nantucket. She has the veneer of an upscale real-estate agent who married into one of the island's wealthiest families, but Kate is also the ringleader of their exclusive swinging club, and she's green with jealousy over the new sexy couple who's captured Allison's attention.
In the meantime, Kate and her husband, Jon, have their sights set on conquests of their own this summer: Brooke, who's grieving a terrible loss, and her charming financier husband Kevin.
Sexy, suspenseful, naughty and gripping, The Cliff explores what happens outside the sheets when monogamous couples risk upending their comfortable lives in search of excitement. As the four couples' lives barrel toward a dramatic conclusion, readers are treated to twists and revelations surrounding the baggage and complex relationships between the couples who venture into the swinging lifestyle.
