The Cat and the Cherub is a one-act play written by Chester B. Fernald. The story revolves around a cat and a cherub who are both seeking a place to rest. The cat is tired and hungry, while the cherub is looking for a place to rest his wings. They both end up in a garden owned by a wealthy woman who is known for her love of cats. The cat tries to convince the cherub to stay in the garden, but the cherub is hesitant because he is afraid of being caught by the woman. As they talk, they realize that they are not so different from each other and that they both just want a place to call home. The play is a heartwarming tale of friendship and finding one's place in the world. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
