The Boy the girl and a computer Stuart Wilson a foundling is brought up by his adoptive parents Jean and Andrew Wilson. He lives in a happy home until his mother Jean dies of cancer. His life then becomes difficult as his adoptive father Andrew tries to handle his grief by drinking too much. Following an accident his father finally calms down and life returns to normal for the young boy. He attends the local school and has a crush on one of his classmates a girl called Evelyn. On leaving school and following a period at collage he manages to create a computer programme which causes alarm to large software companies and his programme is bought off, making him a rich man. Meantime he has also made contact with his birth mother who becomes friendly with his adoptive father. He manages to get close to his girlfriend from school and finally manages to propose culminating in a double wedding with his mother and adoptive father as also marrying.
