The enchanting Alexandria of Farouk's years and its cosmopolitan and multinational personality. A mosaic of events, developments, personal stories, risk and success, happiness and misery. Tragically ending the return to a Greece ill, poor but with dynamism and prospects. From New York, to Alexandria and from Beirut to Belgrade, the Emirates and Athens, George Leonardos travels us to a world next to us, creates, fights, falls in love and mourns. A tour of Alexandria at the time of war, but also after that, with the ephemeral love and the adventures, from the description of which emerges a multiracial, multicultural and cosmopolitan state, that nothing had be jealous of the major European and American centers. And through this dreamy state emerges a true love between two children, that the luck gave them many joys and more sorrows... The Alexandrian Rhapsody composes an exciting novel that combines the writing of the experienced historiographer with the penetrating glance of a novelist, the analyst of social situations and personal deeds. An album of bitter memories by a Hellenism that no longer exists from perceptions and mindsets of a society with high goals and an internationalism freedom from national prejudices...
